Listing checks

Check Hipobuy Spreadsheet Links: Live, Unresolved or Dead

A page opening successfully does not prove that the intended product is still available. Check what the destination actually shows and use a status that preserves uncertainty. This three-outcome method prevents a login screen or redirected homepage from being counted as a verified listing.

Capture the starting row

Save the row ID, visible name, image reference and exact link before opening it. Follow the link in a normal browser and record the final address after redirects. Compare product identity, seller reference and selected variant. A matching title alone is weak evidence when the images or options disagree.

Assign one of three outcomes

Live and usable: the intended product and relevant options are visible. Reachable but unresolved: a login, regional prompt, app handoff or incomplete page prevents verification. Unavailable: a persistent removal or error prevents access to the intended listing. Do not bypass an access control, and do not label an unresolved page dead simply because one attempt failed.

Record evidence and the next action

Use a log with checked date, original URL, final URL, status, visible evidence and next action. A usable listing still needs price, variant and shipping checks before purchase. Retry an unresolved page later through the legitimate access flow; for a confirmed dead listing, use the replacement guide and verify the new source from the beginning.
