Confirm the old link is unavailable
Rule out a temporary error, sign-in requirement or regional prompt using the normal access flow. Keep the old URL, last successful check and current failure evidence. Mark the row unavailable or unresolved as appropriate. Do not erase the record just because a new candidate appears in search.
Search by the saved attributes
Use product type, model details, dimensions, color and images from your saved record. Compare the seller, options, material claims, price and domestic delivery for each result. Shared photography is only a clue: sellers may reuse images. If you cannot establish equivalence, describe the result as an alternative rather than an identical replacement.
Publish a traceable replacement
Keep old and new URLs in the change record with a fresh checked date and a short reason. State changed seller or variant details openly. Recalculate the purchase and shipping budget for the new source. If the evidence is incomplete, leave the row unresolved instead of giving it the old listing’s verified status.
