Hipobuy Last-Checked Dates: What Freshness Labels Mean

A recent date is useful only when you know what was checked. It may describe a link test, an editorial change or a review of selected product details. It should never be read as a guarantee that price, stock and quality are current.

Separate the different dates

Published means the article or row first appeared. Updated means its content changed. Link checked means the destination was inspected on that date. Product details checked should state which fields were reviewed. These dates can legitimately differ. An article update does not automatically refresh the product cards displayed elsewhere on the site.

Read the label together with its scope

“Link opens; price not rechecked” is more precise than a broad “verified” badge. Useful labels show checked date, status and a short evidence note. If a row is old, recheck before buying; if it is recent, still confirm the selected option and total. The date helps prioritize work, not remove the need for a purchase check.

Keep uncertainty visible

When a page is blocked by a legitimate login or a field is missing, record unresolved rather than assuming it has not changed. Preserve the last successful check separately from the latest attempt. For editors, change the checked date only after performing the stated check; for readers, use the live source as the next verification step.
