Listing checks

How Often Should a Hipobuy Spreadsheet Be Updated?

There is no update interval that guarantees every listing stays current. Use a regular review queue, then prioritize rows with evidence of change. Readers should still reopen the source before buying, even when the last check is recent.

Use events as well as a schedule

Prioritize a reported dead link, changed seller, removed variant, large price change or redirected destination. Frequently used rows deserve earlier review because more decisions depend on them. A weekly or monthly queue can organize work, but label it as your editorial schedule rather than a guarantee that every field remains valid between checks.

Update only what you actually checked

A successful link check does not refresh the price, size chart or shipping terms automatically. Record the scope of each review. Keep separate dates when link reachability and product details were checked at different times. If a field was not visible, retain an unresolved label instead of extending the date to the whole row.

Keep changes useful to the reader

Write a short change note such as “seller changed; variants rechecked” or “link opens; stock unresolved.” Preserve previous source references when replacing a listing. Do not move the published date merely to make content look new. Update the visible review date after a substantive check and explain what changed.
